Pelvic Embodiment for Athletes

A yoga-inspired workshop with education & practice.
Sunday, November 1st
2-4pm at CrossFit Vertical
Learn to connect to your pelvic floor to improve your sport.

Why the Pelvic Floor?

The pelvic floor is your body’s foundation, a dynamic center that supports your organs, stabilizes your hips and spine, and responds to breath, posture, and even your emotions!
Yet, so many of us live with pelvic tension, weakness, disconnection, or even symptoms of pain, pressure, prolapse, incontinence, or constipation and more without ever learning how to listen to or care for this essential part of ourselves.

In a 2021 research study, 46% of women stopped exercising altogether due to their pelvic floor symptoms.* 😱

Exercise is too essential for our long-term health and happiness to give it up. Come spend 2 hours learning about this hidden set of muscles that serves as the foundation of your workouts.

On Sunday, Nov 1st, Ilana Berman, LMT from Anahata Healing Arts and Hannah Shadrick Hummel, LMT are teaching a movement workshop where you'll learn:

✨ how breathwork can relax and relieve an overactive pelvic floor

✨ how to connect with your pelvic floor so that you can appropriately recruit the muscles during your heaviest lifts

✨ which stretches and yoga poses are most impactful for your sport

This is a yoga-inspired workshop, so break out your mat. Open to all athletes of all genders. Powerlifters, yogis, runners, climbers, cyclists — we'd love to have you!
